Carved into the pines and dunes of the Monterey Peninsula by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr., Spyglass Hill is widely regarded among connoisseurs as the “Greatest Meeting of Sand and Trees.” The round opens with five holes along the Pacific, so demanding and so beautiful that they are often described as one of the truest tests in golf, before retreating into the hushed, cathedral quiet of the Del Monte Forest, where every shot asks something more of the player who dares it. To play Spyglass Hill is to join a lineage that stretches back to 1966, a permanent fixture of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and one of the rarest invitations in the sport. This is where our championship begins.

Set behind the gates of one of the most exclusive clubs in American golf, the Dunes Course begins among the deer trails of the Del Monte Forest before turning toward the Pacific. The par-3 14th stands as one of the most beautiful holes on the entire Monterey Peninsula, a prelude to some of the cleverest, most demanding green complexes in the game as the round turns for home. Dramatic dunes frame nearly every hole, a course as strategic as it is stunning. Few outside its membership ever get the chance to play it. This year, our field will.

There is a reason Pebble Beach sits at the top of nearly every golfer’s bucket list. Set along a curving stretch of cliffs above the Pacific, it is regarded as one of the most spectacular meetings of land and sea anywhere in the game, and its small, exacting greens, some of the smallest in championship golf, demand precision that no amount of power can replace. Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Tiger Woods have all won national championships on these fairways, and in 2027 Pebble Beach will host the U.S. Open for a record seventh time. To play it is to test your game against the very standard the greats were once measured by.

The tournament will be a three-day, One (1) Gross Best Ball and One (1) Net Best Ball of the foursome. Each player will play his/her own ball through the green. An individual score may be used for both Low Gross and Low Net on any given hole.
For Day 1, the Peoria scoring system will be used to determine each player’s playing allowance for the Day 1 Net Division. Players will record their gross scores on the scorecard and after the round, each player will receive a day-of handicap (Day 1 only) based on their scores. Handicap strokes will then be applied to their round with a maximum of 9 strokes being awarded.
Players will receive 50% of their course handicap on Day 2 and 3. The maximum allowable handicap is 18 for both men and women with a maximum of 9 handicap strokes awarded on any one day. Any handicap questions must be brought to the attention of the Tournament Committee prior to the start of the round.
Awards will be given at the end of each round to the Low Gross and Low Net teams, Low Gross Individual, as well as the daily contest winners. All ties will be broken in accordance with the USGA recommended scorecard playoff method. In the case of one team finishing with best Low Gross and best Low Net score, Low Gross takes precedence. A team may only win one of the daily team prizes. All awards will be given out at that evening’s festivities.
At the conclusion of the final round at Pebble Beach Golf Links, the overall Low Gross and Low Net champion teams will be awarded tournament trophies and have their names added to the Tiger Woods Invitational perpetual trophy.
